Happy 70th, John.

Today is John Lennon's birthday. He should have been 70 today. I try to do something to commemorate his birthday every year. Sadly, I haven't really drawn in a while, so I'm a bit rusty.

Materials used: mechanical pencil.

LOST Sketchcard: Sayid.

My second sketchcard. It could have been so much better, but my first version was ruined during the inking process with a giant glob of ink. I need to do better with traditional media; I think this looks like shite. :/ I need to invest in some Copic markers eventually.

Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews)

Materials used: micron pen, coloured pencils, markers.

LOST Sketchcard: Charlie.

I recently bought a pack of twenty Strathmore bristol/vellum surface 2.5" x 3.5" artist trading cards. I have delusions of drawing something LOST related on all of them as a means of coping with the loss of the show.

Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan), inspired by 1x07 - "The Moth".

Materials used: ink, coloured pencils, watercolour, markers.

The Sacred Heart of Benjamin Linus WIP.

Still working on this piece; I just finished laying down the flat colours. Still working in Paint Tool SAI. More detail will be added very soon. I'm quite pleased with the smoke monster.

More of Saint Benjamin of the Island.

Started working on digitally inking this piece in Paint Tool SAI and thought I would share my progress. I have yet to decide on a method of colour. I started to colour it last night, but it wasn't looking quite right. This will be going to Michael Emerson, so it must meet my own very high standards first.

Current Work in Progress.

Planning to take this into Painter (which I haven't yet really delved into) and spend a shit ton of time on it, after I do a little more detail. I have a vision. :) I'm pretty pleased with how this is going, aside from the hand on the right; I feel like something is off there. I'm not Catholic (very far from it — agnostic), but I'm amused/intrigued/inspired by the imagery. Plus, LOST has several Biblical references, thus, it seems appropriate. . .
